Where would you expect to find our nation's largest Community Foundation? It is in the Silicon Valley, where many wealthy and generous tech entrepreneurs live. The Silicon Valley Community Foundation is largely funded by these entrepreneurs. Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Pricilla Chan, have donated close to $1.5 billion to the foundation since 2010. Other generous donors are the CEO of GoPro, Nick Woodman, and his wife, Jill.

The Silicon Valley Community Foundation has grown to be worth $8 billion. Last year, they made donations in excess of $1 billion.
