The Bower Foundation has handed out $540,000 in grants to the Mississippi Department of Education’s Office of Healthy Schools to fund the Nutrition Integrity 2014 Program.
The program enables schools to acquire and install new equipment in school kitchens. Mississippi schools may apply for the grant to remove and change schools’ current deep-fat fryers with combination oven steamers.
