Food Lion Charitable Foundation Awards Grant to Family Crisis Council

The Food Lion Charitable Foundation, which offers financial support for programs and organizations committed to feeding the hungry in the communities it serves, has awarded the Family Crisis Council of Salisbury-Rowan a $2,500 grant.

The grant will enable the council to help feed local residents. The council provided shelter and food for more than 170 women and children in 2013 in a mission to lead them towards "a violence-free future".
