Fewer States Hold Commercial Host Liability that Can Lower Excessive Alcohol Consumption

In a study funded from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, fewer states hold commercial host liability that holds alcohol retailers liable for alcohol-related harms resulting from illegal alcohol sales to intoxicated or underage consumers at the time of service.

The study is conducted by the researchers at Alcohol Policy Consultations and the Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth (CAMY) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. It appears online in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
