WIC Food Cost Report 2010


The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture administered the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

The WIC supplies federal grants to state agencies for providing supplemental foods and nutrition education to a number of needs and services. The report gives insight on the relative value of food benefits provided to the different categories of WIC participants since implementation of the 2010 food package changes.
