HHS Announces Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Expansion

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced $69.7 million grants to 13 states to expand Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program activities.

The grants, funded by the Affordable Care Act, distinguish states that have employed a high-quality, evidence-based home visiting program as part of an all-inclusive, early childhood system of care.
