Competitive Graduate Education Funding Can Break Resistance in Physician Workforce


According to an analysis in the November issue of Health Affairs, medical researchers observe that inflexibility or resistance to change is a long-standing problem in Graduate Medical Education.

But with a new proposed funding mechanism coupled to a competitive peer-review process can get Graduate Medical Education (GME) to meet the changes in the U.S. population and health care delivery systems.
