HHS Advisory Committee to Focus on Needs of Children in Disasters


The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' new National Advisory Committee on Children and Disasters targets the needs of children in disasters.

The new committee will dispense provide expert advice to the HHS Secretary on planning and policies to meet the needs of children before, during, and after a disaster or other public health emergency. Also, the department is soliciting nominations for committee members from the scientific, public health, and medical fields.
