Stimulate Giving Grant Program of North Valley Community Foundation


North Valley Community Foundation has started the Stimulate Giving grant program designed to promote philanthropy by awarding $100,000 to businesses, individuals and families engaged in philanthropy.

Ten grants are available and winning applicants can re-grant to nonprofit groups outside of Butte, Tehama, Colusa and Glenn counties but special emphasis will be placed on applicants that focus within these counties.

Co-founders William Mann and David Mravyan devised the Sensimat during a mandatory project for their MBA at the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada. Sensimat is a device that helps manage and assess pressure among wheelchair users.
