Private Pilot Volunteer Flies Injured Bald Eagle to Treatment Center


An injured bald eagle gains transport assistance for upper wing treatment at the Carolina Raptor Center.

The bald eagle was discovered in eastern North Carolina at Camp Lejeune. The Carolina Raptor Center, a treatment facility that is committed to bird conservation, called on Fred Darnell. Darnell is a private pilot who willingly volunteered to fly the bird to the treatment center for x-rays and rehabilitation.
