SF Outreach Workers Plan New Ways to Move Homeless in Encampment Clearing

Homeless encampment on King Street near Interstate 280 is being cleaned up by San Francisco outreach workers. The workers herded out many people into housing, but a vast majority simply returns to the encampment.

But instead of just moving people away for the cleanup and allowing them to return, the workers offer to take them and their belongings to a nearby church in South of Market. It's a new city program that enables the participants to receive housing support and health services.
