A Community Foundation is an organization dedicated to aiding a community by improving the lives of others. The Foundations are local non-profits, and help the community they reside in. It serves as a way for locals to get involved in their own neighborhood and help those around them.

Their deeds are funded through the generosity of gifts from individual donors in the community. The donations and gifts the Community Foundation receives directly benefit the community by investing those gifts, and growing them to their fullest potential in order to make the most out of people's contributions.

Gifts to the Foundation can be endowed and targeted to specific areas of interest in the community. Big points of interest for gift investments range anywhere from education, to local economic development. This organization has a wide scope of community issues and uses its gifts to aid in a holistic approach.
