Aetna Foundation Equips Harlem YMCA $50,000 Grant

The Aetna Foundation recently bestowed YMCA of Greater New York a total of $50,000 in grants to review the effectiveness of YMCA's digital and social media fitness and activity tracking system (Y-MVP).

The Y-MVP, a "digital badge" system that makes use of modern game design, aims to improve fitness among teens in Harlem. Harlem YMCA is currently launching a campaign to promote Y-MVP to reduce high obesity rates among New York City's youth.
