ASN Foundation for Kidney Research Provides $3 Million to Fund Research

The ASN Foundation for Kidney Research, along with the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), will fund $3 million in original and exemplary research in 2013.

The foundation funds research and innovation efforts to prevent and cure kidney diseases. The grant will help support kidney specialists in making a difference in the lives of kidney disease-stricken individuals and families.

Programs involved in the systematic study of the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of any of a number of pathological conditions of the kidneys, the organs that are responsible for urination and for helping to regulate the water, electrolyte and acid-base content of the blood.
