New Hampton Police Department Gets $1,000 Grant

The New Hampton Police Department scored a $1,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa to buy a Police Vehicle Protection Cage.

The vehicle cage will act as replacement for an older model in one of the patrol vehicles, and has a recessed area in the middle where a rifle and shotgun can be mounted in the front driver’s area. This will enable police officers to have better access to weapons when they are responding to dangerous situations.
