Amanda Parks has been working at a KFC restaurant in Toledo, Ohio, for more than two years, and she's excited to hear that she'll be going to college in 2022.

The 21-year-old is one of 631 restaurant employees across the US who will be awarded scholarships through the KFC Foundation's 2022 REACH Educational Grant Program, which provides college tuition assistance to selected winners to further their education and achieve their dreams at the accredited college, trade, or graduate school of their choice, per a press release.

To be considered for a grant, applicants must complete an additional essay within their REACH Grant application, and a panel of judges reviews the essays and selects the winning submission.

This is the 12th year for the program, which has awarded more than $25 million to more than 8,900 students and KFC restaurant employees since 2006, per the press release.
