864Pride is a clinical nonprofit that provides medical and mental health care to the LGBTQ+ community in South Carolina.

The Center for Fathers and Families is a nonprofit that aims to break the cycle of father absence and help young men "create a brighter future."

Both organizations received $25,000 grants from the Gannett Foundation's A Community Thrives program last year, the Greenville News reports.

This year, the foundation is accepting applications from groups in the Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson areas that focus on "community building with an emphasis on historically underserved individuals and groups," according to the program's website.

More than 500 organizations have received more than $17 million through the foundation's crowdfunding efforts since the program's inception in 2017.
