864Pride is a clinical nonprofit that provides medical and mental health care to the LGBTQ+ community in South Carolina.

The Center for Fathers and Families is a nonprofit that aims to break the cycle of father absence and help young men "create a brighter future."

Both organizations received $25,000 grants from the Gannett Foundation's A Community Thrives program last year, the Greenville News reports.

More than 500 organizations have received more than $17 million through the foundation's crowdfunding efforts since the program's inception in 2017.
