CFOV Has Enhanced The Region For Decades

The Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley celebrated its 50th anniversary this week with an open house at its headquarters in Steubenville, where it gave out more than $445,000 in scholarships in June.

The foundation, which has given out millions of dollars over the years, offers grants to community organizations, including the Belmont County Enrichment Fund, the Marshall County Disabled Children and Adults Fund, and the Women's Giving Circle, WSAZ reports.

"I've spent some time this week looking back at from where we've come and who helped us to get where we are today," says executive director Susie Nelson.

"Fifty years is astounding, and the last 15 have gone by just like that. I get to see all the good every day."
