Deion Sanders won't be speaking at this year's Conference of World Affairs in Salt Lake City, but the former NFL star will be closing the three-day event, which begins Monday, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

"I am honored to be the closing speaker at this year's Conference of World Affairs," Sanders said in a statement.

"I look forward to sharing my perspective on the most important issues facing the world today."

The conference is put on by the International Association of Financial Services students at the University of Utah, and its website says it's designed to "generate conversation about today's most prominent issues."

Topics for this year's event include "The Next 100 Years," "Global Equity," and "Leadership."
