A beloved Ohio music hall is getting a makeover.
The Zanesville Times Recorder reports the city received a $6.5 million grant from the Ohio Department of Development, the Ohio Department of Development's Office of Appalachia, and Gov.
Mike DeWine's Office of Appalachia to revamp the Secrest Auditorium.
According to a press release, the renovation will include a new entrance, a new lobby area, escalators, elevators, larger restrooms, and more.
“We think the quality of life amenities in Zanesville will be such that our parents can have their children living here locally, having their families, because we still think having a strong family unit or network is really important to the upbringing of children,” Mayor Don Mason says.
