Marin Philanthropy, County Aim to Mitigate Food Aid Cutoff


Marin Community Foundation and the county are teaming up in an effort to keep residents who normally receive federal food aid from going hungry.

Board of Supervisors will consider allocating $800,000 to the effort when it meets on Tuesday.

15,500 people in Marin rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as CalFresh and food stamps.
