In a new study by a research team in the University of South Carolina, a low-cost, incentive-based program called the
Healthy Lunchbox Challenge promotes healthy eating habits among children.
Findings indicate increase in the amount of healthy food brought and consumed by children, as well as reduced consumption of sweetened drinks and salty foods. The study appears in the recent issue of Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior.
