White House to Provide $4 Billion in Green Business Loans

The White House has announced its plans to roll out $4 billion in federal loan guarantees targeted at encouraging and promoting sustainable projects.

These projects would help incorporate power grid with renewable sources, develop more compatible biofuels for conventional vehicles, and convert waste into energy. The Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office has been responsible for launching the utility-scale solar industry and other clean energy technologies in the U.S.
