User Experience Coordinator

Job Description


The User Experience Coordinator will work with the Director and software development team to take on the challenge of creating a marquee user experience throughout stbaldricks.org. The User Experience Coordinator will develop a deep understanding of our online users and help define the tasks, flow and interactions that are best for the user. This team member will collaborate with Marketing and Technology to discover the blend of requirements and design that meets the needs of the online user and balances the requirements of the business.

Responsibilities

Works with Director of Technologies & Audience Insights to recommend and help set strategic direction and improve creative and communication development processes; Works with marketing team to determine campaigns and best tactics to reach appropriate targets to bring about desired goals

Works with lead UI designer to strategize creative solutions to common UX issues and provide feedback and direction on designs and prototypes

Works with Director to spearhead delivery of the right experience to the right user with an online strategy that drives results; utilizes cross-channel insights that translate into effective, conversion-focused digital presence across the web; helps to maximize visibility in search with website copy that works for both users and search engines

Uses multi-platform, multi-disciplinary audience insights to drive high-impact content marketing decisions, including using Optimizely to A/B test site experiences to drive desired behaviors

Makes creative decisions informed by real-time data and built with continuous optimization, powered by testing and learning. Creates responsive experiences focused on growing SBF, using targeted content and conversion-focused design

Monitor and track competitive landscape in order to develop strategies that leverage best practices

Participates proactively in meetings and brainstorming sessions related to the development of marketing and creative

Works with Creative Content team to ensure alignment in communication strategy, campaign concepts, and communication materials

Works with Website Project Specialist to test new site functionality

Presents communication concepts to both internal and external stakeholders

Identify, create, correct and advise others of appropriate usage of St. Baldrick?s brand elements and Foundation key messages/words

Collaborate with print designers about web brands to create a unified vision of the brand throughout all materials

Manage various website content


Job Requirements

Bachelor?s degree or professional equivalent preferred;two years of user experience development

Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite

Familiarity with Google Analytics

Familiarity with Optimizely or other A/B testing platforms

Extensive knowledge of technology employed on the Web

Sophisticated writing, spelling and proofreading skills

Ability to work as member of a team; good interpersonal skills

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

Tact and diplomacy for working with volunteers and co-workers

Strong multi-tasking skills

Ability to work both nights and weekends may be required

Ability to represent organization professionally at events
