According to a new economic data reported by NAFSA: Association of International Educators, over 700,000 international students throughout the country supported close to 300,000 jobs and contributed $21.8 billion to the U.S. economy for academic year 2011-2012.
The report also finds that, in addition to the vital economic benefits international students bring to the United States, they supply boundless academic value to US educational institutions and cultural value to local communities as international enrollments grow.
