DOnetwork and Independent Living Centers Aim to Create Accessible Communities

In light of the 23rd anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Disability Organizing Network (DOnetwork) enables California's 28 Independent Living Centers (ILCs) mobilize hundreds of people with disabilities to participate in five Access Now Power Summits in Northern, Central and Southern California.

The summits aim to build accessible communities to improve access and safety for individuals stricken with disabilities. The ILCs, through DOnetwork, address community members' rights, raise awareness and collapse barriers that prevent people with disabilities from succeeding.
