Social Enterprises Could Be Key to Improving Government Procurement Challenges

Government procurement practices are government units and state-owned businesses' methods of identifying whom to get goods and services. However, government procurement practices seem not to be working.

Improving such practices poses a major concern in public bodies, with all its recession and budget cuts. But with the Social Value Act, government procurement practices can be strengthened. The Social Value Act is a new law that "requires all public bodies to consider the social value created in contracts."
