Houston, in an effort to improve its human services, was in a federal pilot program testing a myriad of ways to count homeless young adults.
However, it seems that homeless teens are hard to count. Houston’s ever-growing teen homelessness is on the rise as evidenced by a gallery of photos by Johnny Hanson and Eric Kayne for the Houston Chronicle exhibiting their plight. Covenant House, an organization dedicated to help homeless youth, takes part in a census of the homeless in Houston.
