Homeless Teens in Houston: Hard to Count


Houston, in an effort to improve its human services, was in a federal pilot program testing a myriad of ways to count homeless young adults.

However, it seems that homeless teens are hard to count. Houstonís ever-growing teen homelessness is on the rise as evidenced by a gallery of photos by Johnny Hanson and Eric Kayne for the Houston Chronicle exhibiting their plight. Covenant House, an organization dedicated to help homeless youth, takes part in a census of the homeless in Houston.

Federal Programs Related to - Services for the Homeless

Programs that provide supportive services for individuals and families who are homeless or which work with people who are at risk for homelessness in an effort to prevent them from losing their permanent residence.
