More and more higher education institutions support social entrepreneurship and bring institutional-wide changes on support provision for social entrepreneurs.

According to Karl Belizaire, policy manager leading on youth and education at UnLtd, a foundation for social entrepreneurs, universities and colleges are at the forefront of innovation and enterprise, and social entrepreneurship thrive at them. UnLtd has joined with 56 HEIs across the UK to ensure that every faculty and staff member, student and recent graduate is aware what a social enterprise is.

The Acceso Peanut Enterprise Corp., a social enterprise launched by The Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, is created to help more than 12,000 small holder peanut farmers in Haiti. The Partnership is a Clinton Foundation initiative designed to foster economic development and alleviate poverty.
