Six States Receive Supplemental Award from 2013 Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge Grant


Departments of Education (ED) Secretary Arne Duncan and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announce the supplemental awardees from the 2013 Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge (RTT-ELC) grant fund.

Six states gain awards including California, Colorado, Illinois, New Mexico, Oregon and Wisconsin. The grant fund seeks to improve quality and expand access to early learning programs throughout the six states. The supplemental grants are valued at $89,213,863 in total.
