According to the new report released by the Institute of Medicine (IOM), the United States falls behind other international plans to determine obesity prevention efforts.

Furthermore, the country needs to know whether these prevention efforts are having their intended impact. The report also concludes that more evaluations could help determine how well obesity prevention programs and policies are being applied and which interventions work best.
