Program\'s Secret Weapons Let Latino Families Eat More Fruits and Vegetables

In a University of Illinois research, an innovative program had two secret weapons in enabling Latino families increase their veggies and fruits intake while lowering soda binges.

The study assembled mothers and other relatives and get them engaged because family togetherness is a very important value for Latinos. Second, the guiding principle of "a little more, a little less" was established. The study's findings are available pre-publication online in the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior.
