Preschool Children with Inability to Estimate Quantity Results to Later Math Difficulty

A University of Missouri team of psychologists found that preschoolers with inability to estimate the number of objects in a group were 2.4 times more likely to have a later mathematical learning disability compared to their peers.

The study, entitled "Quantitative deficits of preschool children at risk for mathematical learning disability," was published in the journal Frontiers in Psychology.
