HHS Awards $1.2 Million Grant to Standing to Achieve New Directions

Standing to Achieve New Directions (STAND) is receiving a $1.2 million grant to provide behavioral health services for men out of jail.

The grant will go towards expanding STAND's work to reintegrate former prisoners back into society. The grant is being awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services.

    Nonprofit impact investing firm, Acumen, has invested $1.2 million to KZ Noir, a Rwanda-based coffee processing company owned by Kaizen Venture Partners. The investment will equip KZ Noir the funds for working capital, debt refinancing, and capacity expansion.
