North Carolina's Department of Health and and Human Services announces the details of a statewide telepsychiatry plan.
The plan, which will commence operations in January 2014, will further the access to mental health professionals and help a growing number of residents in the state. The plan is to connect hospital emergency departments to mental health professionals who can offer treatment for emergency department patients in mental health or substance abuse crisis.
