According to the Urban Institute's recent release, data shows that the long-term unemployed have similarities with workers who are newly unemployed and workers who have become dispirited and dropped out of the workforce.
The report, authored by Josh Mitchell, was prepared for the Rockefeller Foundation under grant 2013 SRC 105. The report also documents basic trends in long-term unemployment and characteristics of the long-term unemployed.
