Hunger and Homelessness on the Rise in San Diego

Many immigrant families are experiencing increased incidences of homelessness and greater difficulty in feeding themselves in City Heights neighborhood.

Median household income in the area stood at $33,826, more than $25,000 below the citywide figure and unemployment is currently running at 20%.
