There has been a tremendous drop of homelessness in the US. However, despite its quiet descent, there is a possibility that it will also silently go up.
Major intervention is needed in order to continue the decline of percentage of homeless people. The US Department of Housing and Urban Development estimates that federal cuts from homelessness programs will cast out 100,000 people from housing and shelter programs this year, which will undo a full decade of progress.
