Marking the arrest of Arthur Larok who runs an anti-corruption newsletter Black Monday in Uganda, the action spurred the Black Monday civil society movement.

Black Monday is just one example of how NGOs can support civil society organizations (CSOs) to help accelerate progress on issues such as corruption. Also, the growing support and engagement of the international community has spawned stronger movements around civil rights, social action and advocacy.
