Ready Access to Farmers Markets Boosts Fruit and Vegetable Consumption

The latest study from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center documents community-supported agriculture (CSA) programs to be a practical way for supplying fresh fruits and vegetables to under-served communities.

The CSA program, Farm Fresh Healthy Living of Forsyth County, N.C., was established by a partnership of university researchers, agencies and organizations using organic practices. The study was published in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's journal Preventing Chronic Disease.
