Two of Five Uninsured Adults Living in States That Do Not Expand Medicaid Would Have No New Health Insurance Options in 2014

As many as two of five adults who are currently uninsured living in states that have not yet decided to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act would likely have no new health insurance options if their states donít eventually expand the program.

Currently, there are still 26 states which have not yet chosen to expand their Medicaid programs. Mostly, low-income residents will be affected since they will be left with no affordable new options for Medicaid in state marketplaces.
