Young Autistic Adults Face Difficulty in Transitioning Into Employment

A new study in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry reports that young adults with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) struggle more in transitioning into employment than their peers with other disabilities.

The study is entitled "Postsecondary Employment Experiences among Young Adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder", and supported by funding to Dr. Shattuck from the Emch Foundation, Autism Speaks, and the National Institute of Mental Health
