Social entrepreneurs Jessica O. Matthews and Julia Silverman were Harvard University social science students who hooked up to change the world through soccer and their for-profit social enterprise, Uncharted Play.
Both dreamed up an innovative device that opens access to electricity in developing nations through the SOCCKET, an energy harnessing and supplying soccer ball. The SOCCKET enables children to play with it as well as use it to power various devices.
