Cost, Fear and Lack of Information as Barriers to Learning CPR among Minorities


In a latest research in the American Heart Association journal, called Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes, leading barriers to learning and performing CPR usage include cost, fear and a lack of information among minorities in urban communities.

The research indicates a community-based approach is needed. Ushering in knowledge and expertise about CPR could help address these issues and reduce healthcare disparities among minorities who need immediate health care.
