Aerobic Fitness Associated with Better Recall among 9 to 10-Year-Old Children


In a research published September 11 in the open access journal PLOS ONE by Lauren Raine and colleagues from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, aerobic fitness can improve learning and memory, especially among nine to ten year old kids.

The study also suggests these findings may be important from an educational policy perspective. To quote from the researchers, "Reducing or eliminating physical education in schools may not be the best way to ensure educational success among our young people."
