Better Cognitive Development in Childhood Associated with Later Frequent Drinking and Intoxication

In a soon-to-be released study in the Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research slated for February 2014, findings indicate that better verbal development in childhood results to more frequent drinking and intoxication during adolescence and young adulthood.

The researchers learned that differences in language development in early childhood and school age lead to alcohol use behaviors in adolescence and up to young adulthood.
