Clasp recently released a fact sheet, "Child Poverty in the US: What New Census Data Tell Us About Our Youngest Children," documenting the latest census about young children.

The report showed that one in five children in the US is poor. It also indicated that four out of every 10 children live in low-income households, with many poor children living have working parents. The report suggested solutions that could address child poverty, with public policies geared to boost income and work supports, increased access to quality jobs, quality child care and early childhood education.
