MIT President: Sequestration Can Derail Breakthrough Innovations

MIT President Rafael Reif speaks how federal budget cuts caused by sequestration threaten to derail major innovative breakthroughs, such as AIDS vaccine, 3D printing and digital learning.

Reif brought up three innovations developed at MIT that relied on federal funding and would have been threatened by sequestration. Reif notes, "If we want to secure a bright future… I'm convinced that working together on this issue is our best hope for progress."
