Nonagenarians Benefit from Strength Training as Physical Exercise

A study recently published in the journal Age of the American Ageing Association and which was led by Mikel Izquierdo-RedÝn, Professor of Physiotherapy at the NUP/UPNA-Public University of Navarre indicates people over the age of 90 improved their strength, power and muscle mass through strength training.

The training raised the functional capacity of nonagenarians, lowered the risk of their falls, and bolstered their muscle power.
